This Term’s Honoree is:
LCDR Loretta C. Haven
My name is LCDR Loretta C. Haven, I have always wanted to become a nurse, just like my mother. I graduated with a BSN from University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. Currently, I am stationed here at Tsehootsooi Medical Center formally known before as Fort Defiance Indian Hospital. I work as a Public Health Nurse (PHN) in the Department of Community Health. I am also a member of Tsehootsooi COA Branch. I am pursuing a Masters in Public Health through New Mexico State University.
I enjoy working with my native tribe on the Navajo Reservation; our work is ongoing in Public Health. I am married and have two children. I truly have been blessed to be able to become an officer and be able to serve as role model for all of our children by instilling our core values and to “improving and advancing the health of our Nation.
